Children Portraiture

I was accompanying Master LH Tan to youth park to shoot children portraiture yesterday. It was pretty challenging to capture the best moment of the littles. They don't smile or show happy expression when they are posing to you. And their action are quick so I will have to use Manual Mode and set it to high speed shutter for lightning quick capture and big aperture to blur the background. I end up sweating for that one hour sessions.

Kek Lok Si Temple Lighting Up Ceremony

Kek Lok Si temple in Air Itam in Penang will be all lighted up with more than 10,000 lanterns and 230,000 multi-coloured bulbs. And most probably fireworks to go with it. We will be hiking to the vegetable farm nearby to get the best angle of Kek Lok Si Temple lighting up and hope to capture some fireworks inside our night landscape. If you were to join us tonight, please wear trainers. Don't wear slippers or working shoes or else you will just torture yourself when we are doing the hiking. Tripod is strongly recommended.

CNY Temple Fair @ Macalister Road

I do not know why there is so many Temple Fair this year, seems like everyone is organizing their own temple fair at different time. A little confused but never mind as long as they are interesting, we (PGN) will go and try to get the best out of it. This one is organized by Guang Ming Ribao, Macalister Road. There is 2 parts of it, right in front of Guang Ming Ribao's HQ and inside compound of Memorial of Sun. Any member who is interested please join us at the venue.

Stella Chung Album Promotion Tour

Thanks to new2mac, there is an event @ Sunway Carnival Mall Seberang Jaya this friday. I do not know who is Stella Chung, maybe she is a Malaysian Celebrity. After I saw her photo, then I decided to go this friday to capture some of her stunning face. Any member who is interested can come and join me on friday.

New Website Coming Soon

We finally have registered our own domain and our designer CS Ang is working hard to get our new forum website up and running as soon as possible. Also we are in the midst of printing our own t-shirt which will be available for our member with a price. I will announce the price for the t-shirt when ready. Our club is in the process of registering with ROS and hopefully we will get it fully registered in 3 months time. Once it's fully registered we will collect joining fees and live membership from all interested members. And PGN ID Card will be given to all successful joining members.

Penang Has It All

Calling 2 Penang Hill

Due to too many members feeling that they have been necgleted by me, I will have to organize some shoothing outing for them or else they will be really upset with me. I am going up to Penang Hill this early Sunday to shoot sunrise from there. However in order to get up there on time and not to mention looking for the best angle, we will have to catch the 1st train up. Which operates at 630AM, so any of the members who would like to attend this outing, please gather at the base at 615AM. Please take note, if you are joining us and you are late, we will not wait for you! You will have to catch the 2nd train, because we can't risk the chance to get up there on time just because you are late and we are waiting for you. No registration is required for this outing, just show up and shoot.
